Do Not Let the Children Play with the Camera

"No Shit" you say.

This is it for the Easter photos.

The little kids "played" with the SLR and ruined the settings and lost all the photos.

It makes it that little bit sweeter that I hid some of the easter eggs in a rose bush.

Off to the park today.

It's 10C this morning.

It's going to be a long, cold winter.

Friday 18 April 2014

It's a good Good Friday

Ate obligatory prawns and oysters.

Made red velvet cupcakes. My absolute fav.

Fat free. Sugar free.

Ok that's lies. But praise Yezus how I lurve them.

Cleaned up the back yard for an Easter Partay or two.

Looks better from a distance.

Still lovin' da blue and white?

Me too.

If you're a tad prudish don't look too closely at this one.

It's even good in glassware.

Went to Mapo for dinner and the only photo I got was of the Woolies birthday cake we got my girlfriend. We're generous like that!

But you MUST have the Mapo Coffee Pork Spare Ribs. Seriously.

This will be me tomorrow as the tennis balls sail above my head, stylish yet absolutely shit house.

Although I'll have a Pimms in hand.

Have a great Easter peoples. X

The Memo

I see Kate got the memo.

Dinner Party last night.

Hubby woke up with a hang over and couldn't work out why.

"Ummmm, those Indian Summer cocktails"?

I couldn't even get through one and I'm no teetotaller.

Here's the Elixir of Death.

M wore this superior number. Love a lady that knows how to frock up for a dinner party.

Still 21C here. Feeling some trench love and flats today.

And what do we think of Oscar - Pistorius not Wilde? Guilty?

I'm glued I tell you - Glued.

Jugs

Went out for afternoon tea with the other J yesterday.

Don't know why but she got me thinking about jugs.

I ate this slightly inferior raspberry and white chocolate muffin.

I've tried to redeem myself with a run and baked eggs for breakfast, you know avoiding the carbs.

Then I ate a crunchy.

In keeping with Kate I'm sticking with the blazer and jeans today.

Sending good vibes to all those caught up in Ita - terrifying.

Late Lunch

Had a lunch date with J on Sunday, only problem is we turned up 24 hours late and it takes 3 hours to stoke up her pizza oven.

SHIT!

Never mind. We ate one left over vegetarian pizza, hot chips and my baked cheesecake. Oh, and drank a bucket of champagne.

Easiest cheesecake in the history of the free world.

Add a packet of crushed sweet biscuits with 125 gms of melted butter - push into the bottom of a greased spring form cake tin (up the sides too, and not too firm).

Mix 500 gms of light cream cheese with 4 eggs, 3/4 cup of caster sugar, a teaspoon of vanilla essence and a splash of lemon juice until combined. Pour this into the base and whack it in an oven at 180C for 40 minutes.

Cool that baby down, put some berries on top and hey presto!

J has one of the cutest, coolest houses of all time.

I'm expecting the bequeathment of this sideboard.

Her husband put in this old oven for Christmas. She actually uses it.

Now that is a serious foody.

Had to pull together the school Easter hampers with some of the school mums.

We managed with the help of some champers, baked Camembert and a stolen box of Roses.

We roll old school.

It's going to 21C for 7 days straight so I'll be channeling some Kate, which is appropriate given she'll be dropping by in a few days.

I might whip her up a baked cheesecake.

Cheeky Chyka

Addicted to The Real Housewives of Melbourne?

Me too.

Have you seen Chyka's house?

I love it.

She clearly shies away from minimalism.

A girl after my own heart.

I'm pretty sure she copied my kitchen.

Toby Scott

Cheeky Chyka.

In keeping with the theme of this post, I'll be channeling a little Heather Dubrow of Orange County tomorrow.

Tell me who's your fav and who drives you cray, cray, crazy.

Green Peppers

I have peppers.

This is probably of no consequence to you gardeners out there, but I yield the Thumb of Death so this is BIG news for me.

Did I mention they're only an inch long? Story of my life!

Love blue and white? Me too.

The Murraya hedge is in.

I suspect its funeral will be held shortly.

Go crazy at the Target sale for kids? Me too.

Got me some serious bargains.

Picnic in the park today. A cool 22 degrees and feeling some military love in honour of my green peppers.

I'm over 16 so I'll be wearing pants.
